Working as Performing Arts Curator for MassBliss

on .

I have been working with MassBliss on Breathign Booths, their mini pop-up festivals throuhout NYC, for over a year and I'm very excited to join their team as the Performing Arts Curator of the annual MassBliss Festival, a 3-day Arts and Awareness Experience that will take place on July 10-12th in the Berkshires, MA. It's going to be a truly memorable weekend full of performances, workshops in yoga, meditation, live music, theater, fitness, and camping. Come dance, exercise, walk in the woods, get quiet, get loud, eat great food, and play! We are pioneering a new experience and I really want you to come and tell all of your friends about it! Check out the lineup here.

Jupiter in the Catskills and Flying Ace on the West Coast

on .

Throughout next year, I'll be continuing my work as a lead collaborator with the eco-theater collective Superhero Clubhouse, directing and developing JUPITER (a play about power) and touring Flying Ace and the Storm of the Century on the West Coast. Both projects are with two of my favorite partners-in-crime, Jonathan Camuzeaux and Jeremy Pickard. JUPITER, the eighth in a series of ecology-based Planet Plays, is inspired by Frankenstein and environmental policy. We'll be developing JUPITER in February, June and July while in residency at the Catwalk Institute in upstate NY. Flying Ace is a piece we made in Denmark in the summer of 2013, and premiered in NYC in the fall of the same year. Inspired by Snoopy the dog and Sandy the superstorm, Flying Ace tells the story of an imaginative dog stranded on top of his doghouse in the middle of the ocean, and his journey of adaptation and survival. It's a wonderful show that I'm really proud of, and I can't wait to share it with my West Coast friends. On that note: we're seeking presenters and producing partners for our West Coast tour (Oct/Nov 2015). Contact me if you would like to host a performance, or know of someone who might!

* An intensive on the use of theater as a tool for social change for students and staff of Cowell College.

Very excited to return to my alma mater as a Visiting Professor!
